I do not know if I have ever said something different - it may be and you know what, I think that it is legitimate to change your opinions once in a while... you know, things change - but! But I do not think that people really change a lot.
I have seen it with different people - with elder especially: what I have noticed is that their core characteristics become more accentuated. My granny e.g. has always been a very apprehensive person. Nowadays, she really wants to care about everything! Even more than earlier!
I know, it is not that sexy if I talk about my granny - but hey! That's life and she is part of mine!
Said this, I want also to share a thought with you that comes in conclusion with my thesis that people really do not change much:
There might be people among you that have had the same friends, perhaps best friends, for years! I am one those people! I have known some of my best friends for 17 years! It seems so strange that
our friendship is going to become full age while I sometimes still feel like the kid who played in the countryside with them!
But going back to the relationships, why do you think this happens? Why do you think that we are still friends after all these years? Why do you think, is it so that we can still laugh the whole night in front of a Baileys, a Negroni and a Moscow Mule? I think because we generally remained the little girls we were that had fun playing in that countryside! If you take the quartet of ours for instance, we say that there are two "different queens" and two "more calm ones" and then there is M.P! Always there, looking after us! Always since I know her!
Our friendship has always been like that. That is how we were 17 years ago and how we still are today!
To be honest, I do not know how to end this post today. You got my point, I guess. We are us with all of sides. These are what make us us in the end.
